It wasn't easy finding Organic Growers, and Natural Suppliers in the early days. . . and in 2024 we're being told by local organic distributors that we're the ONLY true natural/organic buyers in the Coeur d' Alene area.
Oh, there are "organic" restaurants popping up on Google Searches . . . but that doesn't mean anything if they ain't buying organic foods, and ingredients from the organic, and natural suppliers!
Would you trust your gluten intolerant child's diet to a Google "Verified" Search result? If the dish of organic food is just for pleasure. . . we can take the risk. . .and hope the "organic" chef is using natural, and organic ingredients. We hope!
Angelo has been doing this for over 20 years! In the early years it was hard to keep the supply of organics coming. . . natural suppliers had them in stock, and out of stock. Prices went up, and prices went down. Some organic sources turned out to NOT BE ORGANIC, and Angelo had to tell them, Get out of my kitchen!
Angelo knows the difference between an organic green pepper and a conventional pesticide grown green peppers just by looking at one from across the room - let alone tasting it! You will see, and you will taste the difference too!
After all these years, Angelo gets first choice, and the best service from all his natural & organic partners. Angelo's only competition would be (or could be) the big chain restaurants. . . but because of their supply & demand - they are unable to provide truly natural, and organic menus.
The new start ups are still working out their suppliers, and will be for years. Simply put, if we want natural & organic dishes. . . Angelo's Ristorante is our best option - maybe our only option ?
